Cliff is a fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, director of the International Union of Architects - Public Health Group, a member of the Ontario Association of Architects, Canadian Standards Association, Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society, American Society of Healthcare Engineering, and an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects. He is also a director for the Canadian Centre for Healthcare Facilities.

His recent roles include vice-president, planning, facilities and support service at North York General Hospital (NYGH), one of Canada's leading community academic hospitals, and senior architect for the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Canada’s largest provincial healthcare system.
