Adam Flowers

Adam is a Director of CCM Architects, based in Wellington New Zealand. Over the last twelve years, Adam has been responsible for leading CCM’s healthcare portfolio, across a range of public and private projects.

Adam was involved in the completion phases of the New Regional Hospital in Wellington for Capital & Coast District health Board and has been involved in the DHB’s ongoing programme of works ever since on the Wellington and Kenepuru hospital campuses. CCM enjoy a long-standing working relationship with Hutt Valley District Health Board where they have worked continuously on campus upgrade projects for well over a decade.

Over the past six years, Adam has led a number of large healthcare projects around New Zealand for the Ministry of Health, under a Partnership Group model with local District Health Boards including Grey Base Hospital & Integrated Family Health Centre for West Coast District Health Board, Christchurch Outpatients for Canterbury District Health Board and the New Dunedin Hospital for Southern District Health Board.

Adam has been part of site masterplanning projects for Greymouth Hospital, Christchurch Hospital, Hutt Hospital, Palmerston North Hospital and the new Dunedin Hospital – New Zealand’s largest single health infrastructure project involving the wholesale replacement of the regional hospital across two central city blocks.

For major projects CCM work in partnership with specialist Healthplanning experts from Australia. Adam has built a reputation for strong collaborative design management and he values the input and opinions of the entire team, from clients and consultants to contractors and sub-contractors.

Adam has been a member and active supporter of the New Zealand Health Design Council for many years. He is part of a network of professionals, dedicated to advancing quality in the design and management of New Zealand’s health facility infrastructure. Adam advocates for improvement of New Zealand’s health infrastructure and the quality of healthcare architecture.
