Deirdre’s career in healthcare planning followed senior posts in both clinical and executive management in both the public and private sector including a directorate role for infrastructural and service development to include an Information Technology portfolio.
Moving to consulting in 2000, Deirdre became director of projects and strategy with a healthcare consulting company within a large U.S. law firm. In 2004 she was a founding director of a healthcare management consultancy continuing up to 2018 provid-ing services in Ireland, UK and internationally. She has since joined ELT as a director in Health Strategy and Planning. Deirdre has been the lead Project Director on various strategic planning projects, business case development for major hospitals infrastruc-tural projects and project director for the implementation and execution of numerous healthcare development and transfor-mation projects. She is currently involved in projects in the UK, Greece and Qatar.
With an MSc in Health Informatics and experience in process reengineering in healthcare, Deirdre has a special interest in service reconfiguration, transformation and improvement and its impact on the built environment.
