Ronald Hicks

Ronald Hicks has specialised in the design and delivery of major healthcare facilities around the world for over 30 years. His portfolio ranges from conceptual, clinical planning and strategic studies, through to on-site delivery as Project Director on some of Australia’s most significant and complex hospitals. His extensive masterplanning experience in the urban and regional context, design skills and esteemed outcomes are highly regarded. Ronald is well-versed in contemporary best practice clinical planning, and remains at the forefront of healthcare design through his global role in HDR. Ronald is the recipient of a number of prestigious architectural awards including two WAF category winners; four WAF finalists; a broad range of National and International Healthcare Design awards, and Architectural Design awards from the Institute of South African Architects and the Australian Institute of Architects. Ronald has judged a number of architectural competitions including the WAF for a number of years.
