Will Clark

Will has 20 years’ experience in corporate social responsibility, carbon management, and resource efficiency. He has a successful track record of developing sustainability strategies and solutions with experience gained across a range of private and public sector organisations.

In 2018 Will became Executive Director of Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) Europe, the European arm of the international non-profit NGO Health Care Without Harm, headquartered in Brussels. Together with his growing team he is working to reduce the environmental impact of the healthcare sector in Europe through focused policy advocacy, practical grassroots action within healthcare organisations and transformation of the healthcare supply chain in Europe.

Prior to joining HCWH Europe Will spent nine years working in the NHS in the UK. During this time he created an award-winning and sector-leading sustainable healthcare programme Care Without Carbon (CWC) and he built the largest team of specialist sustainable healthcare practitioners working in the NHS. The CWC programme has delivered significant environmental and cost savings for the NHS, whilst enhancing staff health and wellbeing and patient care, and is being adopted by a growing number of NHS provider organisations as the basis of their sustainability and carbon management strategies.

Will holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Biogeoscience from the University of Leeds and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London. He is a Member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA), a Chartered Environmentalist, and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA).
